Dog safe interior solution.

Post by jonytek » Thu Nov 23, 2017 3:10 pm

So after recently getting a new puppy it's only logical that the Mrs expects us to start taking him out in the car. I've had dogs in other cars and they have managed to f**k things up a bit with scratches, hair etc.. Anyway I'm looking at one of these, wondered if anyone else has tried one or has solution to keep him off the new alcantara interior... Don't fancy him slobbering over it.

I have one of these.

Can fold away flat also. Just place to one side of the boot and strap it in.

Thanks Hector but there's no way it'll fit in a saloon and especially seeing as half my boot is air and subs.. Really needs to be back seat.

Tell her to knob off. The wife still thinks I'm going to put a Christmas tree in the back of mine.

Shoot the dog?

Shoot the Mrs?

My wife knows better than to even ask such a ridiculous question!

Titan Covers do some good stuff, I'm reluctant to put my kids in mine never mind a dog.
Cage is probably best and covers

I've got something similar they are good tbh because the short lead clips into the seat beat catch so if you have it short they can't really go anywhere only use mine for vet trips otherwise they get walked near the house

Thanks for the ideas guys... So it looks like my options are shoot the Mrs and the Dog, too risky, I'm <beep> a lying so will probably be caught out.

Buy a trailer which would require a tow bar, that'll look shot.

Let him run beside the car, not sure how he would go at 120mph. Short legs and all.

Or buy him his own car... Feasible especially as driverless tech is getting closer...

The last option and most likely the one that will be implemented is, leave him at home....

I’m still in shock that we are having a conversation about putting a dog anywhere near your interior! What’s happened to you?
