D-Cat exhausts

Post by geoffrcox » Sun Nov 12, 2017 5:07 pm

I bought a b7 RS4 4 months ago the car is mint

The owner forget a little detail that the exhaust system had not cats installed so when i sent it for MOT failed on emissions.

The car had passed all MOTs todate

I have to now get CATS installed into system

what would you suggest

i feel that i have been missed sold the car.

Does this happen a lot

Well the guy Definitely had to let you know that the car won’t pass MOT. Did he mention in the advert that the car has mot and how long? If yes than he must have dealt with mot himself and knew. A bit of a douche bag move on his part. Might be easier to find a “friendly” MOT guy instead? Or unfortunately it’s either oem system back in of aftermarket with 200cel cats..

SunnyRS has a topic about 23 posts down, selling some miltec cats not sure if it's the right part, but might be worth checking out?

Ask the seller it's possible he did the decat himself and still has them somewhere
