Mine I use similar to yours, minus the dog.
I've a 4 year old and 2 year old and it's used as the daily family car.
I frequently drive across the continent in it (primarily to Poland and the frequent trips to Spa and Monza for the Formula 1).
Last time I was in Europe with it was last year for Monza (I flew this year), driving through the Alps. It was awesome, but combined with the high fuel bill, were significant tolls too! :)
Well worth it though... :D

Next Europe trip is Christmas in Poland... :D

Update: 18/09/2017

After a good clean I decided to take the beast to my local friendly mot tester along with the B7, I had forgotten how exciting the B7 is so much drama but it need a shorter FD..

Both passed with no advisories although I think the the rear pads on the '6 might be due soon. Im thinking of going full ap racing and DS2500 combo all round. I might splash out for the ap410 but I'm not sure.

In other news I have decided the clio is too hardcore its a fantastic rough and ready track car but i just don't get the track time to merit having it around so I'm thinking of braking it and getting a Civic TypeR as a compromise. I find CTR's really polarise people you either get it or you don't.

Took mine down to Reims for a few days and came home full of Champagne. Such an easy car to drive long distances. Would definitely recommend letting MRC do their thing and H&R ARB's.

I have tried twice now to organise trips abroad with mine one skiing trip and once for a cycling trip and both times it hasn't worked, I really would like to do the cross Europe driving Audi intended it for.

It seems mental to drive for my next skiing trip given how cheap flights are but I'm thinking pretty seriously about it. The drive up in to the Alps alone would be worth it and you can just enjoy the journey and take in a few other places along the way.

Had a fantasist drive to the sailing club today took the back route as I didn't want to sit in the traffic on the A14... The roads were stunning and the car was faultless as ever.

When i filled my car i must have been driving super eco... 465 miles !!!!

Image

When i got there there was a lovely clio trophy sat outside the club what a weapon these cars are!! I would love to own one but i have clio for the time being.

Well I took the 200 mile round trip to get my car serviced at MRC. Doug and the guys were super as ever. Had an oil and filter changes and got a mostly clean bill of health with the exception of a couple of things:

-As I suspected the brakes are about done with some corrosion and pad transfer on the discs so after the winter an ap racing and DS2500 set up will be purchased front and rear.

-Some of the bushes on the upper control arms are worn so need replacing.

On another note I'm looking for a good paint Shop in the suffolk/ essex area if anyone has any experience they would be appreciated?

Also took the B7 for a service same day and it got a clean bill of health for another year.

Thanks
