What's the best front brake set up?

Post by Esempe » Thu Aug 31, 2017 2:55 pm

Need to replace my front discs this month..

Been seeing alot of people speak about AP discs - are they better than the OEM brembo ones?

Also - any advice about EBC red stuff pads - how much better are they then standard / are they good? Or to be avoided?

Thanks

Nice - best I've seen em for is £620

Where did you source yours?

Also why had you gone for yellowstuff over redstuff?

If you're up for a project there's a full set off an Alfa in the for sale section that I'm dying for some to fit. 400mm fronts from memory. Just need to find someone to engineer some brackets.

I picked up a mint set here for 2.5k. Usually they're around 4K though if you can find them. Or do what Doug and other members have done, but a second car. There's also another member who just fit a set of 400mm ceramics off another Rs I believe but cant remember the fine details. They weren't cheap though but will look amazing.
