CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
Talk to me.. how does it change the system is it worth the money?
Re: CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
Why not just select dynamic or create custom in the car settings to open the valves..

Re: CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
This is why I am asking.. Someone who has it how does it change the system.
So in individual if I set exhaust as dynamic it doesn’t sound as good as in full dynamic mode.. Ignoring the pops and bangs it just doesn’t sound as loud.
On cold start it also sounds better in its warm up phase.. After a few minutes its back to being quiet again.

Re: CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
I'm interested if it can make it go louder. I have an Akrapovic installed and it's just not quite loud enough

Re: CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
I have the module and very happy with it
.
It does what the specs tell you...
Comfort: it always keeps the valves closed (compaired to stock on cold start up it opens them and afaik after the rpm's drop it closes again)
Auto: acts like stock (but not sure in what way).
Dynamic: if always keeps them open
Protection mode: in comfort if you go past 5.000rpm it opens the valves to protect the engine load.
You can manually overwrite all modes and toggle open/close by pressing the ESP button twice.
Maybe pricey but liking it a lot
.
*Alternatively: neikfactor and europrice is selling the 'r8/tt' additional steeringbuttons with integrated microchip. That has an exhaust button that allowes you to controle the valves aswell.
*Milltek also came out with their valve module, in big lines same module and behavior as the cete module, but asking 100$ more afaik.
IF NOT MISTAKEN, there is big of a bug in audi's dynamic exhaust system. For some reason it indeed keeps the valves closed (i think) on lower rpm's unless you select an other mode and select dynamic again after a engine start (at least that is what i read). Maybe it also has something to do with COD (cylinder on demand).

Re: CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
It's not a bug, all RS cars start with the valves closed and the gearbox in Drive (and therefore engine mapping in comfort mode); you have to manually cycle modes back to dynamic or just pull the gear lever to select Sport mode.dasquade wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2017 11:04 pmI have the module and very happy with it.

As an alternative you can just disconnect the valves and leave them open all the time. Takes about 2 mins to do.

Re: CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
I have the unit from MTM. Simpler but cheaper. With the remote you can open the valves in comfort mode.

I've just ordered the Cete version. Bit of an impulse buy. Will keep you posted.

I bet when you were 17 u were driving bicycles only
Useless device, you can always keep your flap open when you go to individual and set dynamic exhaustjipettersen wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2017 8:29 amI have the unit from MTM. Simpler but cheaper. With the remote you can open the valves in comfort mode.

No, individual and dynamic doesn't keep the valves open all the time.Tadass910 wrote:

Re: CETE ACTIVE VALVE CONTROL
I pull up at work every day in dynamic mode. Throw it into reverse and it's like I've turned the engine off. How am I suppose to impress my staff with that? Lol

Disconnect the valves and see what it sounds like.
