If only I could shift my S2000 then I'd also be on the list to buy that straight off you. The car I viewed today was the one I posted about. That was up for £15k, was a cat D with apparent seat nicked. Turned out to only have the roof panel in original paint still, the front bumper off a blue car (sprayed grey on the outside) front wings still dented out of shape, needed brakes all round, and flat as a pancake after 5k revs.

Like others have said, i'm sure you could easily get a quick sale on here for 18k, unless it also isn't in great shape body wise and needs brakes all round, oil cooler sorting, aux rads fixing, drc leaking etc etc....

If you sell it for 15k to a stealer then you, sir, are an idiot. :bash:

We can only assume that he's not too bothered about the money. Ease and convenience is more important for some people.

Remember, he could afford to buy his RS4 brand new

Which is fine but he must be a petrolhead and we all have a hatred of stealers pulling pants down.

does the man not want his pride and joy go to a good home?

Maybe it was a wind up and someone trying to lower the value of the cars?

Who knows, but why say it on here, then not offer it to a genuine enthusiast for the same deal? Seems odd to me.

On another note, I got a call from the dealer last night now offering 'me' money for my S2000 to swap it for his dog of a car!

Possibly because the genuine enthusiast will sell it on for profit just like the dealer will. What's the difference?

Maybe some would, others who are looking however may see it as a blessing that they've got a far better car for what they thought their budget would stretch to. Well...better as in a lower mileage car that is. I'm not saying it 'would' be better than others in that budget range with more miles. Mileage has never put me off when condition and spec/service history is good.
