square trade are, I believe, feedback arbitrators. I don't know if they provide an
escrow service (which is what you need for this 'deal')

What's ironic about this whole issue is that, if this does indeed turn out to be a scam, he'd have far greater a chance of getting away with it if the price was higher. If he'd stuck it up for £25k, I bet there wouldn't be half as many people questioning it.
