spoke too soon = MAF is now sorted....EGT sensor they ordered for me turned out to be a lambda probe !..parts guy asked technician who responded "didnt know there was an EGT sensor on an S4" ...that would be because you were still at school when this model of S4 was available ........ggggrrrrrrrrr

oh dear!

i'll bet the EGT costs more than the lambda probe too
