Have you actually been able to place an order? It's closing or closed so you may find you're limited anyway.

Nice spec, but a depreciation special.

If the latest A8 represents the design direction Audi is taking, and based on the latest Q2/5/7 it seems so, I'm glad I didn't hold out for a C8 RS6...

Agree with all that but the pork. Did not like my 993, only 1989 3.2 worse for me. Highlights 1970 2.2s and 996 GT3.
Still have a 997 as can't bring myself to sell it.
Funny ain't it, worst for me was the 991S with PDK like playing a computer game! I enjoyed my 997GTS but cannot understand why you didn't get on with the 993, mine was a standard Carerra with sports exhaust/seats and 17'' wheels, it was a 1996 car so had the slightly higher output. Maybe it's because it was my first 911, but the quality of the gearshift and controls, size, steering, looks and general hewn from granite was eye popping at the time, I'd have one now if I could stretch to it but they've gone silly.

To the OP, I've ordered a PE in Daytona with black pack, roof, DRC, surround camera, few other minor bits and fully de-badged. Build is last week of July so I'm hoping it will be in my grubbies mid September.

Looking to order this week - got a very good price from local dealer via Car Wow. For £103K car - the balloon after 4 years is £37K so assume the worse and accept 70K drop, not sure I can stomach that much of a loss.

That's a mighty drop! Entirely to be expected at this point in the lifecycle.

That's a polite way of saying it. Whilst it is a great car - a drop of that size over 4 years is too much to stomach. £10K per year I can live with but near on 20 is way too much. So what else is recommended? Didn't like the Panamera. Dare I say VW Golf Type R Estate - fully loaded £42K discounted on Car Wow

Did you drive the Panamera? If not, you should. Also available with a boot now.

E63S has some rave reviews.

You mean it is £103K after discount or before? If that is the list then I imagine you will actually pay about £86K That's £12.5K p.a. over four years.

After discount - the car I built was close on to £120K before discount. Dealer is offering £17K off with Audi PCP Finance.

I had exactly same 993 used 2 years old at 8000 miles. We never bonded.

Scratching my head after reading this thread and wondering if this is possibly the worst time to buy a RS6. My build slot is end of September but I fear this will be delayed when reading between the lines... Heart says sit back as I know I will love the car - Head says cancel and reconsider alternative cars.

That's the dilemma I have at the moment although I haven't ordered yet. Whatever way you look at it - its going to cost near 15-20K per year in depreciation. Issue is what else is out there.

I appreciate these sort of cars are never an investment but if your 4 year price is correct then I think it might be time to listen to the head for once. I hadn't really considered the future value but when you put it at £15k+ then I think the head to needs to have a serious word!

You could argue that the value would be more than the balloon payment after 4 years but no guarantee especially as the new model will be out by then.
