This tyre debate thing seems to go on for ever with every single car on this forum. IMO and it is only that any of the top branded tyres with the correct speed and weight rating are absolutely fine for driving on our roads. If you really want to test certain brands of yer then get on a track.
I have Contis on mine and they work fine. They also look quite sexy with a cheeky little rim protection if it's the look you're after rather than personality

In the dry perhaps. Big difference in the wet on the and I'm tallking at legal speeds.
Actually, I nearly overshoot a roundabout last week in the dry and came close to a car already on the roundabout due to the lack of grip when i hit the brakes (had the pirellis on). They still have 5-6mm of tread on them so should be performing at their peak. I nearly shat my pants, i didn't think the car was going to sotp in time. That same braing would have been no problem with goodyears or Michelins, even my dunlops would have stopped without any drama or locking up like the Pirellis did.

Easy to get carried away with tyres but I would say that the bridgestones on my RS4 tram lined like crazy, since the switch to Conti's the car is much more stable under load, though they don't appear to be wearing as well. Wife's SQ5 was fine in wet and dry on Pirelli's but they wore quickly, last set of Dunlops behaved just as well for less money and lasted around 5k miles longer, so in essence it's a bit of a minefield if you really want to rely on anecdotal stuff. Most folk rate Michelin, but they are expensive and sometimes difficult to source.

Ar no way! Staying clear of Pirelli then! The conti that's on mine now are decent and like the big rim lip that protects the alloy from Kurbs but may go with the mpss.
Just out of interest what's the lip like on the dunlops Mike? Good protection?

I will just say this. Check with your insurance company and make sure they will accept that you are changing your tyres to a non Audi approved tyre i.e. R01. I had to get new tyres last week and I was going to change to Michelin "BUT" they are not R01. They said that it would be classed as a modification to factory specifications and if I was involved in any accident that they would look very closely into whether this modification was a contributing factor. I thought fcuk it and stuck with the R01 in my case choice between Dunplop or P'zero. I chose P'zero cause I hate Dunplops. I've done a very wet track day at Donnington park on my Zeros and I found them to be absolutely spot on.

It's just come to me that you've never posted any pictures of your car/cars. Come on I call #rule 1 on your RS6 and the RS3 together. Get some pictures up. Let's all have a gander.
