Imola Yellow - the exclusivist of 'exclusive'?
Re: Imola Yellow - the exclusivist of 'exclusive'?
I bought - and returned a very late 2014 car. It was advertised as having B&O and didn't. Car was re-advertised at £38,500 and that was last year. So I would think the Oxford Audi should ideally be under £40k. Junction 17 have a low mileage without pano roof 14 reg 14k miles for £38,975, Teeside Audi an odd spec car, 64 plate 12k miles for £41k

Also car has been up for sale for over a month now. Keep a close eye on it as I guess Oxford Audi to drop the price as it gets to 60 days in stock or whatever their policy is

Cars are spec and mileage sensitive with the market being quite fickle. The price is about right but the colour is limiting potential buyers, it just takes time and the dealer knows this.
A Merlin Purple example sold a month or two ago for in the region of £48k, spec wasn't special but it had the basic boxes ticked - MY14+, Sports Pack, B&O and Pan Roof.

Re: Imola Yellow - the exclusivist of 'exclusive'?
Personally paying over 40k for a well spec'd RS4 wouldn't be wise right now.
I've been keeping an eye on prices for the last month or two and there's a steady flow of well spec'd cars for under that amount with low miles. If you accept a few miles more, substantially under that marker.
I'm not sure the "special" colours are worth any more. On these cars they'll just polarise buyers. (The purple is better than the yellow IMO...I'm not totally convinced by the yellow).
A 2015 car with more Audi warranty left etc might command a bit more.
Mid-late 30s is about where it's at right now I think.

Re: Imola Yellow - the exclusivist of 'exclusive'?
I sold my Jan 2015 64 plate with a pretty much the same spec (no pan roof though and Misano Red) back in Nov last year. 'CAP clean' was £37500, and the p/x trade bids I got at the time were all £37-39k.
'CAP clean' on that specific yellow car is currently £32k, so circa £37k would be a fair offer given the spec and colour. There is no way on earth I think anybody should be paying any price starting with a 4, not with the new RS4 only a few months away.
There's a lot of talk on this forum of Audi/dealer screen prices being the benchmark, do not fall for this. Audi have to protect their GFV's so they will try to fix screen prices as high as they can to retain margin, but the reality is the trade price will always fall in the background. Sure, some cars sell for those who don't care about money, but for most of us the difference between 'trade' price and screen price should be your benchmark.

Re: Imola Yellow - the exclusivist of 'exclusive'?
There are two ends to every market, the problem lies when a person has top end expectation for bottom end price. These cars don't follow CAP religiously, as shown by the previous generation B7 which has traded above CAP for a good 6/7 years now. Keep an eye on the market and you will see that good and desirable cars sell, and quite often in the 40's. Whilst all the crap sits around mid 30's and below.
Look at this private sale for example, bet it sold for £39k and some change - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 6136388938
Some individuals on here will continue to talk the market down, trying to make themselves feel better about their own circumstance. And as for the new one being a few months away -get real.
RS5 was launched in March and still no UK press car yet, the UK online configurator only went live a few weeks back. Deliveries for those will be 2018 with perhaps a handful of 2017 cars. Yes, Audi may launch the new RS4 this year but back in the real world those wouldn't be seen until late 2018. This is all before we start getting to its price.

Let's call a spade a spade Sam, your comment is aimed at me. I don't need to feel better about my own personal circumstance. I sold, got a price I was more than happy with, and I am passing on my own personal experience of what happened.Surrey Sam wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2017 10:44 amSome individuals on here will continue to talk the market down, trying to make themselves feel better about their own circumstance.
You can call it "talking the market down" all you want. It's reality, it's what happened, the numbers don't lie. You/we have literally no idea what a car sells for because when it disappears from the market you have no idea what the price paid was.
If you think a B8 RS4 is worth £40k+ that's your opinion, personally, based on my own experiences and seeing trade prices, I don't.
Each to their own. If I was seemingly as petty as you I could say you are continually talking the market up, but I don't. It's a difference of opinion, for which we are all allowed given this is a forum.

Re: Imola Yellow - the exclusivist of 'exclusive'?
If you seriously think you can go into that dealer, offer £37k on the yellow one and expect to get a deal. Then it is you, who has been smoking the crack. It'd take at least another 2 book drops, before a sub 40k offer would be even considered on that car.
I personally find it quite amusing that dealers are even taking the time to log in, and politely put you in your place. But please, do feel free to carry on.

Re: Imola Yellow - the exclusivist of 'exclusive'?
Where did I say I expected to get a deal at £37k? I simply said the price is too high, and I gave an opinion of where I think the price should be. The fact it hasn't sold in several months proves it's too expensive, but don't let the facts get in the way of your argument.Surrey Sam wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2017 11:55 amIf you seriously think you can go into that dealer, offer £37k on the yellow one and expect to get a deal. You find it funny that one dealer logged in using an existing account, well bully for you, little thing for little minds I suppose. Given they have been renown for years for being at the high end of the pricing spectrum I'm not surprised they felt the need to defend with their 'unauthorised trader' account, leeching publicity without paying for it.
I find the anally retentive world of 'surrey sam' quite amusing/embarrassing, but again, I'm not petty enough to shout about it in public. You seem intent on turning this personal, and if that's your aim then bring it on.
