Carbon Clean Berkshire...

Hi guyss im new here so do apolgize for the many threads.
Does anyone know of a reliable trusted garage in berkshire to do a carbon clean on the b7.
I would use MRC but they dont have anything available till mid july. Want to do it sooner

Depends if you are prepared to travel... unit 20 or AMD are the other main ones.

Wait for MRC. But if you don't have an MRC remap I'd spend the money on that instead. Its more fun and its permanent unlike a carbon clean.

That's actually not a bad wait time for MRC, it's often longer. I would question how good any garage is who could do it next day or the following week. There's often a reason they have availability, and it's not a good one.

Im going to do both. Carbon clean and remap at same time.
Im going to take out an audi fully comprehensive warranty. You guys think its worth taking? Will it cover drc which has been replaced before according to history.
Also will remap affecr warranty

MRC offer 2 cleans, a quick 1 day clean that doesn't clean all the bits or a 2 to 3 day job that does everything.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the carbon clean. It'll soon be dirty again and your car will be tuned for that optimal clean condition but the engine will be dirty. I think it's better to get it mapped when dirty and leave it like that.

As regards warranty, I thought Audi warranty stayed car must not be modified but I could be wrong.

So with a map what would it be running without a clean?
Im not a mechanical guy so wouldnt remapping it put strain on a not clean engine?
Any methods to keep it clean once clean?

Stage 2 and exaust on a non clean engine will give what bhp?

It's normally aspirated so not much power to be had other than by supercharging. The remap is about making it more fun to drive.
You need to decide whether you are chasing numbers and bragging rights or just want a car that's fun to drive. If you want big numbers then you will need a carbon clean. But it won't stay clean. Trashing it will help but it will still get dirty again.
My car was running a consistent 400ps when dirty with pre cats gutted, revolution air intake (which is supposed to reduce power but looks nice) and cold air feed.

When I had it cleaned (purely for sale and not for my benefit) it ran 438ps. It was smoother at idle and low revs but other than that I couldn't really tell much difference. Similar to the effect that hydro clean had (probably due to the Italian tune it gets whilst being cleaned).
If I was keeping the car or bought a other I wouldn't bother getting it cleaned. I accept it has 400ps and just enjoy driving.

What I'm wondering these days is if water meth injection would prevent carbon buildup, and also allow slightly more aggressive timing when tuned
