It sounds awesome even with the stock exhaust. A burble burble burble.

Not a great photo, but satisfies rule 1.

Ha! I did that once and once only. At least with the big donut tyres on the Volvo I'll get a bit more protection.

Re: Anyone know about Mitsubishi Outlanders? Shoguns?
Had two Shogun SWB petrol UK cars.
Actually preferred the older one for looks as it had sharp lines, the newer one was furkin' deadly and so much fun being two turbochargers short of an Evolution Pajero. Trust me, in rear wheel only drive selected the sight of a 4x4 holding her back-side out drifting through a roundabout scares the living shuch out of every other road user. I had s/s exhausts non-res behind the 3.5 V6, once whilst gently pulling away (honest) a bloke cutting his grass shouted, "Fu***g slow down..." it just looked and sounded the dogs wotsits.
Fuel consumption HAH you thought the C5 RS6 was a demon, the Shogun was an alcoholic in comparison but was unstoppable and could even (just) fit a Euro Pallet into the rear. Seats up the boot isn't great as tall / narrow, the dog (dobbie) could only just turn around and the fabrics were dog hair glue.
Fun toy, hell yes and I would have another.

Re: Anyone know about Mitsubishi Outlanders? Shoguns?
The previous owner description did a really piss poor cut & shut job on the exhaust on mine, deleted both silencers, so she is pretty loud & grumbly. I am averaging 14.1 mpg, running her on Vbastard too as I just feel dirty putting economy slop in the tank of any of my cars.
I honestly don't know how I managed without this tank before, she has been utterly invaluable since I got her!
