After owning two b5 S4's and four b5 RS4's I decided if I was find anything that would push me in my seat like the B5 used to, it would have to be a C6 RS6.
So I have been on the look out for one for a while now and don't seem to many good ones on the market at the moment, I viewed a number of them but they all seemed to wet with oil under the engine and/or had corroded coolant pipes.
I managed to sell my C63 to a nice guy in Glasgow, I delivered the car to him and while I was up there, I arranged to view a Daytona Grey C6 RS6 that had been for sale on these forums, I viewed it, test drove it and bought it there and then.
It has the usual standard high spec the RS6 comes with, plus the following factory options:
1. Silver leather interior with silver cloth headlining and carbon inlays
2. Valcona leather (package 1) seat upholstery (with contrasting stitching), head restraints, door trim inserts, front and rear arm rests in leather
3. Seatbelts colour matched to seat upholstery
4. Fitted floor mats
5. Bluetooth mobile phone connection
6. Voice control system
7. TV reception, analogue and digital
8. Adaptive cruise control
9. Audi parking system advanced with reversing camera
10. Advanced key, keyless entry and start
11. Electric tilt and slide glass sunroof
12. Privacy glass
Here is the recent jobs been done:
Drivers side coolant pipes been changed for new Audi items
The common oil pump seal has been change by Audi main dealer with a whole host of other seals and bolts
Recent brakes discs and pads changed all round
Major service at Audi last year including spark plugs
Most of the big jobs have been done, so I hope for some trouble free motoring
It also has full Audi service history, with last service being done in January 2017.
I have just fitted some new tyres, went for the new Continental Sport Contact 6 after reading many positive reviews about them.
Plans moving forward:
Secondary cats delete (super sprint pipes already purchased)
BMC air filters
Stage 2 MRC engine and gearbox remap
Gearbox service
H&R anti-roll bars
H&R lowering springs
I think that's it for now.
Here's a pic of the old bird:
