Pan roof only gets more weight to a car, so no
Hardly an issue on a FFRR, but even on an RS6 the difference would be un-noticable otherwise Audi would have to quote differing Performance Stats for cars with/without Sunroofs & it's not like the RS6 roof is Carbon Fibre, so remove a chunk of not so light steel & replace with a slab of not so light glass.

You won't regret it Foxy. I certainly wouldn't want to be going back to not having a Pano.

As for extra weight, Tadass, I barely noticed the extra when the car did the "back from Uni" run with three of us, a completely full load and a full 620L top box. I had to keep reminding myself of the increased mass before braking.

W8PMC, hot air/gas rises, so I guess it could be useful for that - I wouldn't know. ; )

Thanks for the complement RS6Chris! and with 720/868 PS/Nm you find that really is all you'll ever need and quite how big your grin can get. : ) I just love getting in to it, particularly now I've at last got the Carbon Inlays switched to the Carbon with Blue Thread, after the salesman and I conspired to select out the standard Blue Thread and select in the plain Carbon, when I spec'd the car (I checked and re-checked the spec., but sometimes you just see what you expect/want to see) - so if anyone wants to swap their C7 A6/S6/RS6 or C7 A7/S7/RS7 inlays for a HALF PRICE OEM Carbon SET, do PM me.

Oh and as for flies in Pano mesh tartan_rob, you could always use your vacuum cleaner on the inside, but remember don't SUCK, do BLOW .... then SUCK!

Anyone who states weight being an issue for a Pan Roof and hasn't spec'd all the carbon trims (inc engine bay) plus ceramics on their car, is just talking hot air out of their own exhaust.

On a similar theme, what do folk think of the surround camera? I have specced it on the basis it's a big car and one that my wife will also drive on occasions, so I'm hoping that it will help us avoid scuffed alloys and corners. I had it on a Disco 4 a few years back and never really used it as the system was slow and cumbersome, so I'd be interested to know how easy it is to use and ultimately whether it's money well spent.

6'6" and no issues with Pan roof. Use it all the time and often fully open.

All round camera is brilliant but doesn't help with wheels only the size of the car reversing etc.

The 360 top view camera is amazing...can't sing it's praises enough. I had reverse camera on my C6 which was great but Top View is light years ahead. The only spec I wished I had is Connect the rest is perfect.

Apologies if you have posted on it before stevo, but how are your pads and steel discs bearing up; you are happy with them I take it and have you had to fit replacements yet?

If it's the C6 you're talking about that's long gone mate! Am now in an FL C7 and (hopefully) won't have to worry about replacing discs for a while yet as I'm only in about m the 3 of ownership. Loved the C6 and my old car is featured in this months Modern Classics Magazine-see the C6 forum if you're interested in what they had to (mostly incorrectly to be honest) say about it.
Far as I know they new owner of my old beast hasn't popped up on here yet which is a shame.

Was just curious about your C7, but hadn't realised you had only got it 3 months ago. Any plans to track it? A couple of other things; I think it must be well worth while fitting an additional set of (aftermarket) locking wheel bolts, with 1,000 key variations rather than the 24 of the OEM ones and checking that any tracker is not sited in either one of Audi's two quick pre wired locations, oh and perhaps front end wrap to resist stone chipping?

Back to Pano: This morning surprised me in being so hot and sunny so the first thing I did when I got back in the car and switched on the ignition was TO OPEN THE PANO FULLY and let out the heat - very effective!

Keep car in garage. Best way to keep heat out and frost off.

On that subject, how wide is your garage door (from internal upright to internal upright) and is it a standard width? I could get my B7 RS4 with its fixed wing mirrors in, but not sure I would want to try my C7.

Cheers
