It’s with regret that I am selling my 2003 Black Audi RS6 C5 Saloon with 89k genuine recorded miles on the clock. I bought this car with a full Audi service history 3 years ago from a dealer in Maidstone. I searched for a long time to find this example and had to endure many bad examples until I found this particular one. The car had covered 79k miles when purchased and in the last 3 years has covered another 10k miles and been serviced and MOT'd religiously every year by Burrowfield Autos in Welwyn Garden City. Within 3 months of owning the car I sent it to Burrowfield to have a service and check-up, we discovered that the front suspension was about to fail, and the front pads and discs needed to be changed. I invested £4k into the vehicle straight away on genuine Audi front pads and discs, replacement front shocks and springs, a big service including K&N air filter, pollen, oil, oil filter, plugs, gearbox oil, and new wiper blades (all genuine Audi parts). The car was then sent to the local Audi dealership to have the suspension properly set up on their machine.

Top Gear in St Albans built a completely custom exhaust system from the cat back all the way through, but I chose to include the standard exhaust tips to keep that genuine look. This gives the car a beautiful V8 burble, without sounding offensive and annoying on long journeys.

The following year I needed to replace the back discs and pads, which were replaced with Zimmerman discs and Brembo pads, I also replaced the front pads with Brembo's as the same time and the whole braking system was flushed and new high temp EBC brake fluid was replaced.

At the same time I had the ECU remapped with the RS6 Plus file, this along with the other mods (exhaust and air filter), this has allowed the car to breath a lot easier and pulls a lot harder than standard (approx. 500bhp, but no proof)

The last service was carried out November 2016 and this time we carried out a small service, oil, oil filter. However we discovered the rear suspension had started to fail and the decision was made to replace the whole suspension system with a brand new sport adjustable Bilstein PSS9 B16 system. Since this work was carried out the car sits and handles absolutely beautifully and now looks stunning without compromising on comfort. I still have the front shocks that were put on the car less than a year before and they can be included into the sale.

The car has been MOT’d from 28th April 2017 (expires 27th April 2018), no advisories were found, however we did discover that one of the rear callipers was binding, and so this has been replaced with a brand new genuine Audi calliper. At the same time all 4 wheels have been refurbished and so are looking brand new with no chips or scuffs at all.

The car has full leather and alcantara Recaro interior which is in good condition throughout with no marks or tears. Electric sunroof which opens and closes without hesitation. The still has the original Media system in full working order, and sat nav UK and Europe CD present. I have added a multimedia cable to the back of the head unit which allows you to play music from your mobile (this was one of my bug bears about the car when I bought the car). The car has a full Bose sound system as standard and all speakers are in good working condition. If I were to pick holes in the interior of this car it would be that the climate control buttons are showing signs of wear, but the whole system is in full working condition and the AC has been re-charged and blows cold.

The gearbox which tends to be the weak link in these cars has been examined and maintained at every service, and oil has been replaced each year to maintain it. I have never had an issue with the gearbox, but I would put this down to the maintenance and the car always being properly warmed up, cooled down and driven properly. I am 32 and the car has been used mainly at weekends, usually with my wife and 2 young children in the car and so I rarely got to put my foot down without an ear bashing from the wife.

The car has always had Conti Sport Contact 5 tyres, which are the factory recommendation, the two rear tyres were replaced in February 2017, and the fronts were replaced less than a year ago and have plenty of tread.

The bodywork is in amazing condition with no dents or scratches, and the front bumper has just recently been re-sprayed to get rid of any pesky stone chips. At the same time the whole car was polished and detailed by the body Shop and so it’s looking in showroom condition.

Comes with receipts for all work carried out since I owned the vehicle, 2 original keys which both work, service manual with full Audi service history up until 2014 and continued yearly service history from 2014-present from Burrowfield Autos.

I honestly planned to keep this car forever hence the investment I have put into her in the last 3 years, however a new house, new baby, and growing responsibilities has lead me to this decision. The car is being used on the odd occasion and so mileage may go up slightly, I would strongly advise anyone interested to come view the car as they won’t be disappointed.

Hey Bam,

Apparently the interior was changed by the previous owner by Audi as there was a fault with the heated seats. I've got the say it's the nicest combination i've come across, but then again i am biased haha.

Cheers for the shout out.

Just an update for anyone interested, as luck would have it the previous owner of this car noticed it for sale on Ebay and got in contact with me. He owned the car from 2007-2014 and used it mainly for travelling between london and scotland to see his in laws. He had the timing belt changed twice in the time he had the car, most recently around 70k miles, he also changed the water pump, alternator, and had an RNSE stereo system fitted under warranty by Audi. According to the previous owner this car had 20k miles on it when he got it, and was serviced every year by Audi main dealers, as per the service manual. We chatted for a while over messages and he has echoed my thoughts on this particular car being the best car he has ever owned, and still is for me.

I have lowered the price to £11,495 to drum up some more interest as my family and responsibilities are quickly growing and i'm in need of the cash now.

Thanks all

Dan
