Porsche / Brembo Callipers: Part numbers request
Does any one know the Brembo or Porsche part number for the front 6 pot calliper conversion? I would just like some reasurance prior to going ahead with getting some on order. The parts I am after I think are GT3 racing callipers.
So far I have tracked down the part numbers for the road going equivalent UK GT3 Porsche Callipers as
996 351 431 90 left side
996 351 432 90 right side

You may have done this already, but I'd suggest calling or better still visiting a Porsche parts counter. I have found them to have excellent customer service, they will show you the options and prices.

£270 for 6 port racing caliper, £350 for 6 port road caliper.
I just wondered if any one who has undertaken this conversion has the references.

You missed my point. The dealer will still tell you the part numbers, regardless of whether you purchase from them.
kalsket: the numbers are the same as those poted above. The road and race callipers are the same thing, only if you buy callipers from a racing team, you will probably get them at a reduced price, as porsche seem to provide consumables to the race teams at reduced costkalsket wrote:K2, could you check your motor sport calipers for part numbers? Just because they are 8 pots doesn't necessarily make them a better brake. They use 2 pads instead of 1 and this arrangement has caused some uneven wear and even a few cases of catching fire! The cost of replacement pads, which they tend to get through pretty quickly, is also quite high. The Porsche/ Brembo 6 pots are probably just as effective and there is a huge choice of different pads through Pagid so you can tailor your braking requirements to suit you. I cuurently run 'black fast road' for everyday use and switch to 'yellows' (extremely fade resistant) for track days. The wear rate is even and, I feel, superior to anything I might have put inside Audi oem calipers and I'm confident the braking is at least equal to what RS6 calipers would have given me. Any cost difference is pretty neglible in the long run

Still if it was my decision i would take the RS calipers simply because i never do trackdays.
So basically it's just for the brakes to be better than the standard RS4 brakes,but overkill is not necessary...
On the other hand i really can understand people using AP's or Porsche's brakes if your doing trackdays.
