It's hard work finding a tyre place you trust. We had a PSS come off the rim at Bedford the other day just after doing 140 in the straight. Turns out the trainee fitter damaged the bead when fitting but didn't say anything to anyone.

At a different fitter, on the Saab, I took it back twice to get the wheels balanced properly and then gave up and paid another place to balance them. They're still not perfect.

Then the place that was supposed to fit the PS4S fit one PS4 and one PS4S and tried to make me believe it was the same tyre. Lucky I checked before driving off. Got refunded. Drove home with my worn out PSS back on.

The last place seems to have done an ok job. At least they sourced the right tyres!

Have you ever used Wheelmania Shopp? They've never damaged any of my rims and always balanced perfectly. They deal with very expensive wheels as you may well know.

I'll be going there soon myself to replace all 4 after Thursday's track day at donnington.

My fitter drives track cars for a hobby so knows his stuff and the importance of getting it right, especially on performance cars.

Well you shouldn't have been nosey and gone through my private home videos. I don't mind you spurting on the car or even my pillow but I draw the line at looking at private videos of my turkey basting technique's.
