Number plates can look tatty quite quickly, I have changed many perfectly legible ones just to brighten my cars up over the years. Also, the older pic you linked had the euro circle thing on it...not everyone liked that.

How is changing a number plate ( at anytime nevermind after a few years ) suspicious ? Or am i missing your point

It's not but there is a right plate for Audi cars, some just look out of place I guess

Cos it may have had a front end smash, and the number plate has been replaced as a result
