OK, I'm impressed (tyre thread).

Just been out in the wet with the new Michelin PS4S on and I am seriously impressed.

I had heard that they were good but I wasn't expecting such a drastic improvement over the PSS that came off.

This is on the M3 and I only changed the rears (255/35/19), but now I think I will have to do the fronts, even though the PS2 have loads of tread left.

I took the car down roads I know well where I like to get a little bit of rear end action and... nothing. Just gripped and held where the PSS would have had my arse hanging out like a baboon with hemorrhoids.

Round one fairly fast roundabout I usually get a bit of oversteer, but this time it was understeer city. It was almost like I was driving a Focus!

The PS2 and the PSS are very good tyres, but the PS4S blows them away in the wet.

They aren't cheap, but I'm glad I went for them.

I suspect the RS4 will be absolutely glued down with them on since they are a similar weight to the M3.

I'll be very interested to see what they are like on the RS6 when the time comes.

I'm looking forwards to trying mine out, they're going on (set of 4) this afternoon when my winter wheels finally get swapped out.
(I too had PSS before for summer)

Interesting....I swear by the MPSS and had them on my C6. Was chuffed to see the previous owner of my current C7 RS6 fitted them when he owned it. When the time comes I'll be looking at the new PS4S, I ride on 21's which is going to be quite pricey though!

I got them on the RS4 at easter, I've only managed 100 miles so far (unfortunately car spends most of ts time on the drive and me in a different part of the country)...but so far so good.

Am off to play footy tonight and that involves a 55 mile round trip on some nice twisties so will give more feedback after that...or will end up in a tree...which i suppose would be it's own feedback...

That depends on which part of the car hits the free first... unless you're saying that you'll end up in a tree, which is odd but I can't judge, I've been in Chunky's mum.

I saw that, but I couldn't be bothered to correct it. Probably blame auto-correct.

Just had a look on camskill for the 20" wheels and saw they do the PS4S for £213 each. But the new Contis (the Contact Sport 6) which are rated by some as better than the PSS are only £176 each. Bargain!!! I wonder how the Contacts Sport 6 compares to the PS4S? If the CS6 are about equal marginally beter than the PSS and the PS4S are that noticably better than PSS then it sounds like the new Michelins are maintaining their lead at the top!

I bought my PS4S (255/35R20 97Y) 20's from Pneus. First pair were £163 plus VAT each, second £154+. That's an average of £190 each.
Fitting cost me £50 for the 4 onto "virgin" wheels and swapping with my winter set..

Though I get loyalty discounts from Pneus so the real cost to me was significantly less. :D
(apologies for anyone who read this earlier when I incorrectly said I used Oponeo)

Here: https://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/ you get roughly 5% loyalty discount if you buy regularly plus occasional extra discounts.
Spend £1000 and get £50 back on your next order basically.
I currently have a 2.5% "bonus" discount that doesn't expire to use on any single order of my choice so I'm saving that for a big one.

I thought I checked everywhere but those guys never came up when I was searching.

I paid 197 each, fitted, with a further few percent back via Quidco. Mytyres was a bit cheaper but I didn't like any of their fitting places.

PS4S are £184.70 delivered in your size from Pneus. Not sure about fitting, I use a tame local mobile fitter who I trust.
