Final Results -720.5 HP

Post by E14STO » Tue May 09, 2017 1:00 pm

So the car had some final tweaks yesterday and whilst we sacrificed peak torque we gained 12hp.
Peak HP - 720HP
Peak torque - 773lbs

The previous 781 torque figure was a more prominent peak and dropped off, this new map gives gains almost through the rev range beyond the peak figures of both HP and torque..

That's it for me now....

I have only driven a facelift std car on a test drive with audi and this car was stage 1 when I bought it. (640/700)
It's v noticeable between stage 1 and current tune so I'd expect it to feel significant if you jumped from std to this tune.

Nice one.

Good figures, nice flat torque curve and holding power well up top, points to a very quick car.

What i find interesting is the balance of power vs. torque. which i guess is somewhat down to the ability of the transmission (impressive being a regular Auto) & equally down to traction.

My M5 with a Stage 2 ran a little more power at 748bhp but lower torque as once it was wound up past 710lb.ft the clutches became agitated & suffered some slippage & when that wasn't occurring, it was impeding progress & traction was more an issue. Once dialled back to 700lb.ft everything was perfect & they then made a few changes to how/when the torque was deployed to rain it back a little lower in the rev range & not have a huge surge in the mid range that upset the clutches occasionally.

Great figures & as others have said, she must be a proper beast now.

At stage 1 traction in the damp was regularly in play.
As it is now it holds it back in the dry occasionally but it's not intrusive like others cars I've had where any break in traction and it feels like it's cutting power right off.
When you are pressing on through the lower gears with traction in sport mode it feels loads smoother and quicker, more responsive.

The V8 sound is great in the car. Need someone to do me a drive by so I can hear what the rest of my village hear when I'm on my way home! :-)

Nice graph. It hits peak power and torque at almost the same point. and you have over 600bhp from just over 4000rpm all the way to about 6500rpm!

I don't know what 773lbs is in new money but I'm guessing it's around the 1000nm mark.

1048Nm. I can tell you that my C6 had 1100Nm. It was fast. Very fast.

8secs 30-140mph. It's on YouTube for those that disbelieve....

In a lighter car it is going to be very similar performance - if not slightly ahead.

Would choose Mrc maybe as well, as I see you guys like it and they have good reviews, but in Belgium no Mrc, I think I will choose APR then :?
