Looking good, I have some blisters on my mirror bases so they are coming off for a paint soon. What colour did you paint them?

I went for a satin black. Not identical to the original, as they are quite a flat black. But I thought it would look a bit better.

Make sure whoever does them fully sandblasts them to remove all the corrosion. The first time I got them back the guys I used hadn't done it (despite asking) and the paint immediately flaked off. I only noticed once it was back on the car, so had to remove and send then back.....

I didn't find it very difficult, just take your time. The worst part is separating the housing from the metal bracket, it requires a little more force that I was comfortable with! There are a couple of good guides on here.

One thing that has been bugging me since I bought the car is the drivers bolster. Although its not actually that bad, it always took something away from the otherwise excellent interior.

So I had a little look around and found a website selling a leather refurbishment kit, and decided to give it a go. I took me around an hour to complete and I rekon bang for buck, it must be the best thing I've done to the car so far!

I haven't bothered with a write up as I followed the video tutorial on the manufactures website word for word.

Now the car has some lovely ceramic brakes up front, I thought I'd post a couple of photos.

On the recent RS246 Wales trip, I worked the brakes extremely hard and they performed brilliantly. This is my first experience of owning a car with ceramics and I'll definitely struggle to go back now.

Well worth the monumental hassle!

Just got it. Just doing a full suspension arm upgrade, thicker ARB's geo and corner weighting, then a detail and ceramic coating. Looking forward to it.
