S4 values

Post by vw_nutta2 » Mon Sep 26, 2005 1:51 pm

Just wondering how much my car is worth.

What you think?

s4 b5 99 pre-facelift

blue/black alcantara/leather
climate control
ski bag
84k four owners - FASH
minor stone chips at the front
I'd say its good condition.
MTM chip, Turbosmart DVs, 304bhp 360 torque, Eibach springs, Miltek cat-back exhaust.

Just thinking of changing within the next year and wondering what I'm looking at.

I recently bought by 1998 with 83K miles for £8995 from a dealer.........with a years warranty. The prices do seem quite variable on Autotrader though.
cheers

Well if you look at mine in the for sale section - I'm expecting offers around what I'm asking. And Fontain motors offered me 8K for it today!!!!
I said thanks, but no thanks.
I agree with dazzer about yours though.

Not really on the same thread but what do you tink off the Eibach spings, are you using them with standard shocks or uprated? Do you have any pictures of the car with them fitted?

Also does the Miltek sound much different from standard?

Thanks

Mark

The S4`s have held out fairly well. Glasses Guide puts 1998 saloon with say 100k around £6900 bit harsh/unrealistic I think.

I think when the V8`s start to tumble the biturbos will start to drop.

the springs and exhaust were on the car when I bought it. its std shocks with eibach springs, looks reallt good on them have a look on my gallery on this site and you'll find some pics. I always see std height s4s and think they look like proper 4x4s compared to mine, rides really good too. would recommend, although I have no idea what std suspension feels like. The miltek has a nice deep tone to it on idle, at motor way speeds the car is nice and quite which is all i can say, if I don't sell it then I'll be getting the miltek cats for it, now they are supposed to sound nice.

I have the same set up i.e. Eibach on standard springs. Car looks much better and the ride has improved too.
