Dropped the RS off for tweaks - 3 days without :-(

Dropped off this morning.
Pretty excited to be picking it up Wednesday night..

1st job - KW adjustable springs
25mm front and likely around 28mm on back (sits slightly higher)

2nd job - Non - resonated miltek
Map session

3rd job - ceramic coated downpipes
Map session

Then we'll look at the exterior....

Bit nervous about the noise levels now it's come to it.
Didn't realise miltek did an option between res and non-res but hopefully in comfort it's still quiet enough inside for the 3yr old..

Yeah I am so far.
The exhaust is loud but more than bearable for me (non res)
Downpipes have made a difference to the sound as well, JBS Did the car in stages with vids and power runs etc.
The crackle/ bangs are pretty ridiculous in "S" mode but I like that sort of stuff.
It now crackles in comfort mode about as loud as it did previously with the sports pipe on in "s" mode- I'm going to get them to take this out if possible when it goes in on the 8th as this is how I drive with the boy in the back..

So the results - not quite in as they ran out of time to get the HP where they think it can go so I'll post results when confirmed.

Map - 638 / 698
Non res - 664 / 738
Downpipes - currently 710 / 781 - they are aiming for 725, same torque as they said their is a bit left as the lines cross and want can hold peak power for longer... I needed car back though.
Downpipes added 16hp out the box no mapping.

They firmly believe 750 is unobtainable on their road..
I'm happy with the results so far though tbh, im not chasing numbers
If it does sub 10.7 at the pod I'll be happy

It's sits quite well and lowered just enough, perhaps go another 5mm on the KW's but not sure...

Yeah but that's a map as well mike.. not just plug and play results. It's had 2 days fitting / mapping
They didn't tell Me what the car back made out the box.

Yes I assumed you meant they fitted cat back then fiddled with map. But that is still a massive gain for cat back (granted it is not massive in overall percantages). I thought there was little or no gain from a cat back.

Maybe the initial map is held back a touch until you get good flow to protect temps etc. No idea. Ie they could push it but don't until miltek (or other) is fitted.
I'm assuming of course I'm useing the right terminology - ie it has a "full" miltek non res and then ceramic Coates downpipes.

I am sure the base map is a mirror of a generic map available but with a few tweaks. It's supposed to be 670/700... JBs don't get more than 640/700.

You start getting into dyno vs dyno and False claims etc which I'm not fussed about. (And it's been done to death )
As long as it's done well, safe enough and performs on the road I would mind if it was sub 700

I wrote some time ago that only with non resonated version of Miltek and no remap you can get more than 20 hp, akrapovic states that with catback you get 7kw so with Miltek it should be even more hp, I am not talking about cat less downpipes as you then need remap for sure, only with catback no remap needed.

P.s Miltek none resonated sounds very nice and deep with stock downpipes

I doubt it was more than 20hp without the dyno time... shame I didn't know for sure though.. will ask, I'm sure they have the logs on the dyno runs

26 only with catback or also downpipes?

26 with cat back but not just install and go.
Needed full dyno session to get the HP, torque was 40+ also and of course optimise the power delivery.

At the moment I'm driving it at 710 but they ran out of time, that's a 46hp increase with downpipes but they are anticipating 725, so around 60hp for down pipes with a map. Without a map they produced 16hp.
Torque will be capped, they don't want to go beyond where we are now really.
Going back in Monday for a final tweak.
