Post by GAZ-MAN » Mon Oct 19, 2015 12:30 pm

The RS6 doesn't really have that many bodywork mods out there to be honest. There's a few CF front spoilers & rear diffusers for silly money (£500 minimum but upto £1500!) but thats really about it for the RS6. There's a few generic C6 kits about but they pretty match the RS6 for the most.

My wife sent me a link to this - asking if I wanted a crimbo pressie, I have to be honest I thought it looked a bit of a cheap copy of the ABT one, but not bad for the price?

Looking at roof spoilers and of course there is the abt one that can longer be got

Has anyone tried the cheapo copies off ebay and also if so does the original roof spoiler need to be removed or do they
fit over the standard rs6 one ?

Thanks

Jules, I bought an ABT one back in Nov 2015. the original spoiler had to be removed to fit the new ABT one. I tried in vain to buy another just in case I bought another C6, no joy. the ebay ones are basically copies no idea what the fit or quality is like however, at £59 or whatever they you could always try and see how it pans out. however, once fitted makes the rear of the car from every angle best cosmetic mod for the C6 other than the MTM splitter.

if you want to acquire dimensions from the original then you cold possibly capture this from my old car which is currently for sale.

Thanks for the advice mate and as you say for the price its worth a play.
Its just the removal of the original one I'm not so keen on
If it was a genuine abt one I think I would be less reluctant.

Mate I think you will know when you buy the copy version how it will fit by just initially placing it on the OEM one. If it's not a flush fit then you know you've got to do some work to make it fit. Any decent body Shop could sort it out for you. Greg Howell did mine the OEM was a nightmare to remove.

The OEM is a sorry affair, im looking into having a custom one made as i dont think the aftermarket ones have the right profile
