Post by RS6chris! » Fri Apr 14, 2017 8:17 am

Hi guys

Anyone local (or recommendations)to me (Teesside) who can do hidden features?

Rear lights on.
Seat belt chime.
Chirp on lock etc etc

Forgive me if I've used wrong terminology, but you know what I'm after!

Any advice/help welcome?

I can lend you VCDS of you want to try it yourself. Think Mike knows a few things you can do.

Yeah lots of good things like closing the boot from the door switch or door button.

I'd love that feature. Anyone know how to do it for a drink in the Guildford area.
Also have a Mate who would like his done at the same time, also in Guildford.

Or....

If mate and I bought 50/50 a Vag-Com, can even a novice change settings with the help of google.

Is it as simple as finding the right code, or setting, in a line of options through the Vag-Com?

VCDS is well worth buying on your own, but if you can split the money with someone, even better.

Most things are pretty easy to change and well documented online to walk you through the process.
We can help here of course.

Thanks guys.

Is a Vag-Com a Vag-Com, or should I be looking at a particular make/model?

Done a little googling...

Everything I have is Apple based, I've not seen software for iOS.

Does the below app work for what I need.

Image

Lead from iphone to car using this app/software?

Is there software for an iPad or Apple note book?

Just buy a cheap windows laptop and use it just for VCDS.

For the IOS app to work I believe you need the new bluetooth version of VCDS- a dongle without the lead. I only use macs at home but VCDS runs well on them using Parallels and an old version I have of windows XP as a virtual machine (still the best version of windows in my view- pity about al the a-holes out there that want to exploit the security flaws in it though!). I am abroad for a good few months or I would have sent you my lead for you to use. Enjoy the new car!

Try here: (try with google translate)
http://www.stemei.de/pages/coding/audi-a6-4g.php

and here:
http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/show ... CDS-Tricks

are good starting points, I have been tempted to buy VCP as this can do some deeper coding...not sure if it is also the better way to go for FL cars?
