Sounds about right. Bedford Audi.

You can see the kerbing in their photos. That's really poor. I'd expect that to be repaired without asking.

Bedford Audi.
Sounds about normal service from them I'm afraid. They haven't changed

I work 3 minutes down the Bedford bypass from them but always used Hitchin Audi for service work on the S4, and would do for future Audis. My dad used Bedford a once or twice, and after I started going to Hitchin having bought my S4 (a town he knows having worked there for about 15 years) he swapped to them too. Cannot remember the exact details, but he'd booked a service at Bedford, dropped car off, something they then said or did pissed him off so much he asked for his keys back and left! Went to Hitchin instead

Went to pick the car up today:-

2 x Kerbed Wheels
1 x Buckled wheel (actually bulging out)
Poorly painted rear bumper with paint drip (really)
Passenger side sill faded in colour
Passenger door with approx 30 odd stone chips.
Passenger door with faded paint, looked like it had been filled in....

I was then told by the manager to see myself out from the showroom...

I did reject this car, but was told from the sale adviser this had passed their multi point check and what did i expect from a second hand car ....Really!
This is going to sound harsh, and it's not meant to be, but what did you expect for a car of that age and mileage for that price.

The interior pics show the leather hasn't ever been treated and the shine on the paintwork is pretty dull. The 'Sports' exhaust tips are all tarnished and there are other indicators that it's simply been used as a car rather than cherished by an enthusiast.

It's in the condition I'd partly expect for the bottom of price bracket. Sadly, for as long as Audi keep the RS6 prices artificially high, examples like this will look appealing purely based on price.

If you're stuck in that price bracket then for an enthusiast like yourself you're going to need to spend a bit more to get one from a dealer, or risk it in the private market.

Surely if you are buying an a Main dealer youy wouldn't expect to have paint which has road rash all on one side and paint drips from a poor paint job, its more suited in an auction than a main dealer...

Thanks

But if it was a 'proper' car with all those faults fixed then it would be £60k+ as the others are. Looking at what's in the market right now it's very clear that car is priced to sell quickly.

If something is too cheap, then it's cheap for a reason.

Especially from a dealer. Possible to get deals private, but then other considerations.

That said, if you put the deposit down wihout viewing and without notification of the faults, you can get your deposit back and walk away.

Surely, if it is not prepared properly it should not be sold from a showroom (however cheap), for me at least I have an expectation, for a car which is 57k it should not look like it has been driven through a bush.

This is a Audi dealer we are talking about, which for me I have at least a minimum expectation... of a decent standard

Audi locking wheel bolts are made of butter! EASILY ruined if you use an air gun (150 lb ft+) instead of doing it properly with a torque wrench (80-90 lb ft ish depending on model)

EDIT - Chunky, you beat me to it
