My RS6 is going. It is coming up to three years old and its been the perfect car.
I was so so close to getting the RS6 performance, or the S8 performance, but despite my best efforts, I could not get a demo from anywhere, or if I could, it was just for a 30 min spin. I therefore have left the brand, which is a real shame.
However, I am now getting very excited about my new car that should be arriving shortly. A Panamera Turbo. Porsche gave me a demo car for 24 hrs no peoblem and I loved it . I think I will have the best of both worlds, the performance of the RS, but a bit more comfort like a Merc.
Couldnt wait for the Turismo version, so the dogs will just have to squeeze into the hatchback.
I hope Ive done the right thing and wont have regrets in a few months
Shame on you, Rs6 nice car, keep in mind that you will be demolished by a Rs6 from a stand still with your other choice
Shame on you, clearly a tad too much of a fanboi. Yes the C7 RS6 is a great car, but thinking one's better than the Panamera Turbo is a tad optimistic at the very least. As for performance, it's safe to say the RS6 has 0 chance of demolishing the Panamera.

Mate what on earth are you smoking? A new Pan Turbo would destroy a C7, and as for looks it's nothing like the 1st gen car they have nailed it on the looks department.

Please compare the numbers between the new Panamera Turbo and RS7 Performance;

http://fastestlaps.com/models/porsche-p ... urbo-mk-ii
http://fastestlaps.com/models/audi-rs7- ... erformance

Looks like the RS7 is beating the Porsche in almost every speed interval.

I happen to have been treated pretty poorly by Porsche Hatfield in my quest to get a Cayman last year so am jaundiced towards the brand at the outset.
Having driven a 4s panamera today, I can say it's an awesome car and I won't look at them the same again. I love the rs7 with a passion, and this ticks all the rs7 boxes I like, plus more. Build quality is amazing, interior is amazing, and given it was only the 4s, it went very well indeed. The turbo must really be something.
For its size and weight, plus it's power, it really handled very very well. As Dan will attest, I kicked its head in - sideways at several points - and t just gave more and more. Great feedback, good performance. Amazing grip.
If I were in that price / bracket, it would be a serious contender.

Ps - handled better than the rs7 I had on loan for a weekend too.

My "old" Panny was an awesome car

Actually miss it! Sometimes wonder why I traded it in?...PDK was a bit dim Witted.

The C7 isn't in the same league as the old Panny never mind the new one.

Audi C7 11.9 1/4 mile ...
Pan turbo (2014) 11.7 1/4 ...
And the 2017 is quicker (I just can't find a quoted 1/4 for it)

RossDagley, did you look at Heden's reference? :-

"Please compare the numbers between the new Panamera Turbo and RS7 Performance;

http://fastestlaps.com/models/porsche-p ... urbo-mk-ii
http://fastestlaps.com/models/audi-rs7- ... erformance

Looks like the RS7 is beating the Porsche in almost every speed interval."

e.g.
:-
Panamera: 11.5 sec / 21.1 s @ 249.6 kph / 1/4 mile/1000m

RS6 Performance: 11.2 s / 20.8 @ 256 kph / 1/4 mile/1000m

Also, best time I've seen for an unmodified RS7 Performance 0-60mph posted on America's Audizine forum is 3.18 sec!

So I suppose it depends whose figures you trust most.
RS6 PE DMS, Daytona, Pano., 21" 5-V-Spoke Tit.Alloys, C/Ceramics, Dynamic Pack +, Parking Pack Adv., Assist. Pack, TV (MMI only), Road Angel (essential) + Python, A. Connect & Phone Box + S/phone Interface, Head-up Display and Night Vision Assist., RS6 Proj. Puddle Lights, Clear 3M Wrap.

Mini Cooper S ("hot"Chili) 265BHP; VW Fox 59BHP; Citroen C1 68BHP!!

RS4 (B7) w. TTS S/C, C/Ceramics - sold
Audi TT Coupe won at model launch, for 3 months, from Audi UK !

I wasn't looking at the rs6 performance stats - I compared with the regular rs6. That explains that :)
