Good news and bad news.
First the good
No esp lights
No airbag lights and no fault codes .........
Except now I have code 0956 and neither key will remotely operate the doors. Keys still lock and unlock via the keyhole but not remotely.
I'm guessing this might be caused by the battery discharging haven't had time to look it up yet.
To be continued.....

Weird thing is it didnt have any codes last night I went out in it then garaged it leaving it on charge and unlocked. When I checked it today after taking it off charge the fault had appeared?

Well that's all sorted out after a bit of internet searching
So things I have learned which you may or may not know.

1) If you disconnect the battery you may get an ESP light displayed. To clear go for a little drive making sure you turn the steering from full lock to lock. Turn the ignition off and back on and hey presto no warning light.

2) Don't let your battery drain down whilst spending all day on Vagcom because it causes a load of other problems.

3) If your keys stop opening your car remotely all of a sudden ,lock the car with the key then unlock with key, turn ignition until the lights come on but don't start the car. Turn off and remove key and immediately press the unlock button. This should have re-paired the remote, it did mine.

4) That Shoppinit bloke knows his sh*t

Cool. Glad it's sorted.
