What have we here then?

Post by kmpowell » Wed Mar 01, 2017 10:20 pm

Flicking through my Instagram 'Stories' feed tonight and I saw this from an automotive photographer I follow...

... there's nothing else on his profile or seemingly anywhere else on the Internet. As it's a 'Story' it'll be from today.

C8 testing already? RS6 Allroad? Run-out club sport special?!?

Highly unlikely. I can't see why AUDI Sports or GmbH as they used to call themselves, would register a prototype in Sweden (as it is running Swedish plates).

Isn't that a C7? And have they even had spy shots of the C8 A6 yet? Far too early for an RS6 test mule isn't it.

According to stealer yesterday the c8 is due out latter part of 2017
Pretty much the reason I didn't get another c7 - other than I feel agreived!

And here are pics of the basic one - I would bet a pint of beer that it's available to order by December ImageImageImage

It could easily be a mule for the new engine. The engines get tested on the open road well before the bodies make their first public appearance.

Perhaps but a dp at a local dealer and service manager at another saying same thing? Likely it's true. I don't bet unless I'm sure

So, I did some more research. Looking more closley, you see that the car behind the RS6 is Team Galags' Batmobil. So the Instastory is from their "Winter rally" going from Copenhagen in Denmark to Arvidsjaur in Sweden.

The car in question is a MY14 manufactured in December 2013 and is currently owned by a woman in Uppsala in Sweden. She has owned the car for 1 year and 7 months.
