I mean a dyno measures torque, and then calculates bhp from it.

The difference between wanting power or torque is more about where it is in the rev band - torque at low revs is good for acceleration in gear, peak power is for max speed.

So comming back to my question :p...why is for most (?) HP so important and not so much focus on torque, especially since it is a heavy car :).
I couldn't care less what my topspeed is (once tried and let go of the gas at 280km/h because i found it was enough for the road and possible risk of police)...more into a quick of the line and pull-through acceleration :).
Anyway....in the end it are only numbers. Enjoy your car ;)

Numbers are just interesting that's all, I wanted to know how many of you dynoed your stock car and what numbers you got :biggrin3:

I think u are right, same can apply on Rs6 as well

Torque is great and the RS6 produces a ton of it anyway but if all everyone did was 7th or 8th gear roll ons then torque would be the only thing to go for. However, as there are lots of lower gears on the RS6 as well, we get the chance to exploit the higher RPM'S of the engine where HP is made and there is nothing like the top end rush of a high HP engine!!
