What he said :bigblink:

Cars such as these can vary quite wildly in stock outputs & i've seen everything from 570-610 for non PE (not seen alot of data on the PE but i'd guess the starting point would be higher but it wouldn't achieve much more than a non PE at the top end & unlikely a tune would exploit more from a PE than a non PE as it's a higher state of tune standard).

This also applies to similar out put vehicles such as the M5 when during a group but i organised in 2015, stock cars were often approaching 600bhp stock, although the Mfctrs state 560. The gains across the board & this included Competition variants as well as M6's again varied with the highest output from a Stage 2 being 756bhp & the lowest i think 718bhp. Now although not a huge delta, the fact all the cars were different is testament that having a map bespoke to the specific car is going to offer far better outcomes than any kind of generic tune & as far as i'm concerned is the better & safer way to proceed.
Apr company or pperformance maybe they do live tune but not a tune box

I'm not up to speed on who offers what for the RS6, but I know MRC are highly regarded & DMS also offer a Stage 2 tune for the C7. Both suggest around 730bhp from their custom maps.

Got the MTM M-Cantronic box with exhaust, did 10k miles now, goes pretty well, power is "sufficient". Only thing I don't like at all is the 4-cyl modus change, really spoiling the fun so have to break in the ecu anyway to get it written out

675 with only the box and on 100 octane, I am mostly on 98 as here in Holland it's difficult to get 100 or 102 but whenever I am in Germany I take 102, cannot say I feel much difference then. I don't know if I would do it again, power is really good in 4-5-6th gear but in lower gears I would prefer original. Also mtm is pretty expensive compared to ecu tuning, and as I said you also have to get the 4-cyl modus out because it really sucks. I asked mtm to write it out, they quoted 2000 euros compared to a tuner here in Holland who quoted 500 euros, not very serious if you ask me...

What do you mean 4 cyl modus?

Also i saw ABT offer 700 hp only with their ABT exhaust and tune box (as i saw their exhaust system http://imageshack.com/a/img922/8295/RDiguP.png has more restrictions than Miltek non resonated version http://imageshack.com/a/img924/5327/ONvsm5.jpg so in my opinion Miltek makes more better breathing to engine than ABT exhaust), i wonder how they succeed to get such numbers, as I know mostly tuners change also downpipes if such numbers want to get, but ABT not, yes I have non resonated Miltek, wonder if I add ABT 700hp will it gona work properly, as ABT states that they don't know if there going to be error engine codes and so on, as they never installed such combinations Miltek +ABT box

I doubt there is much difference between the abt and milltek (and OEM) in terms of power if they are both only cat back systems.
Also, weren't the C6 abt upgrades on the C6 notorious for not giving the stated power? Or am I confusing them with mtm?

Cylinder deactivation, it continuously switches on and off when you are driving with little throttle, you won't hardly notice it on a standard car but when tuned you have to get rid of it. Very annoying and also slowly damages your camshaft I heard.

Strange that mtm not does that by default on their tune box, I wonder about ABT do they disable it in a tune box or not

Yes both only catback system, but if you check link of Miltek exhaust and ABT exhaust you will see that Miltek all pipes are straight and ABT has muffler in a middle

But a muffler is for sound only, won't affect performance.

I've not heard this before. Do they make you aware if this before buying? Whilst the loss of cylinder on demand is not a big deal I'd be very annoyed if I wasn't made aware of this beforehand.

And is this only for this tune or all tunes? I wonder if this is just bad tuning.
Leo, Chris; did your cars still have cylinder on demand when tuned? If so, did it still work ok or was it a problem?

No, apparently they can only do it through the ecu and not through the box so there is the problem, it goes against their concept of putting the box to keep the ecu untouched. But at 2000 euros they fix it
