Been a few thefts/ attempted thefts recently.

Over on the RS3 forum this chap in Bolton was broken into and they were in his house for 28 mins while he slept looking for the keys, had been in 6 houses before his and emded up taking a Tourag from the house opposite. In the same thread another guy and his sister house (one in basingstoke and one in bracknell) were broken into /attmepted for the cars. Basingstoke and Bracknell and not a million miles away from the RS6 stolen above.

Asleep whilst someone rummages around downstairs for half an hour? Crazy.
Can't understand how you would have enough money to put an RS on the drive but not enough to have a burglar alarm on your house. Nothing more comforting when you are awoken at night by a "thump" downstairs than knowing it cannot be an intruder otherwise the alarm would be going off. We have a siren inside as well as outside - it's deafening in the house when it is triggered.

He had an alarm, they slid a magnetic strip through the door stop it going off.

And they were waving at his cameras.

i can see how a mag strip would stop the door contact but not the internal motion sensors

Not much of an alarm, then. Where were the movement sensors? And how did they know where the door contact was in order to use a metal strip?
