Skoda Yeti "RS"

Post by FaisalJ » Fri Feb 03, 2017 9:37 am

So I dropped my RS4 in for its annual service and MOT at Tuningwerkes in Croydon and had obligatory 30-45min convo with the owner Reuben about all things car related. He mentioned a skoda yeti 4WD that had a K04 turbo conversion and various handling mods, but kept stock looking...Had to go home and google it...

I think this is the one! Imagine being the GTR driver at 1:30ish with a skoda yeti hunting you down on track!

Bonkers- love it

Yeah that K04 Yeti is a little bit famous. He does track days and RWYB. It's a great sleeper, I bet he's got a few M3 scalps. There's a build thread over on the Skoda forums, it's an interesting read, apparently the chassis has been very tuneable.
No matter where you go, there you are.

I went to ADI this year in convoy with a trade stand who took the majority of their gear down in a 2004 onwards shape VW Caddy van that was running the current Golf R engine, gearbox, 4wd system and brakes

Is that the same Yeti that has 510bhp running a modified TT-RS engine?

They made a typo in the first sentence :bash: ''Most buyers are in their 50s, sometimes even retired''. Due to bum_bum having one, I assume they meant - ''Most buyers are in their 50s, sometimes even retarded''

What do you reckon the cost of doing a conversion like that would be? The mega-sleeper thing appeals to me.

I'd say you've got to be looking close to £10k? I think it'd be worth it just to see the faces of the victims.
