My cars a FL so it must be touch sensitive, I'll check it out on Saturday when I get to drive it.

It's quite easy to tell them apart; when the car if off it has a smooth pad with no numbers or anything else. The other type is split into buttons with dividers between them and you can see the numbers when the car is off.

I don't have a F/L car but it has the same pad as Mike. You can choose radio channels and draw words plus I'm sure many other things if I could be bothered to read the hand book. Oh ffs I don't have one it's still on order

Ok maybe it was an optional thing like I 1st thought then.

Just looked on the configurator. It's called MMI Touch and is standard on the RS6 at the moment. Maybe pre facelift it was optional.

I might be wrong but I think the numbers come up automatically when you have the radio on for the present channels. If your not on the radio its blank I think but you also get arrows when in Nav. It is/was standard on both pre FL and FL cars

Yes the numbers come up when listening to the radio but also come up when listening to USB drive f9rnsome reason. When you press them it says radio and nothing happens.
