E63S 4matic isn't available over here, is it? Still looks like a Turkish airport taxi...
No matter where you go, there you are.

No chance. E63 will munch the RS6.

Shame it's not better looking though; I prefer saloons to estates but I think the C7 is much better looking. Power and weight is similar to the RS6 Performance so I don't think there will be much difference between them in a drag. On a nice dry day the merc might pinch it with (I assume) less drive train losses in drift mode but anything other than perfect conditions and I think the Quattro will out perform the 4matic.

Gearbox will be the main factor, it'll be a good chunk quicker to 60.

In that video he said that it is 0-60 in 3.5 which is the same as the Performance 0-60 (not 62 which is 3.7). And we know that the non performance RS6 actually does it quicker than that. Not sure how the merc compares in real world vs manufacturer figures but I know the A45 amg is quicker in the real world than on paper so I am assuming this is the same which would make it about the same as there Performance. So I reckon as they are both autos it will come down to the mode the merc is in and traction off the line as that will make more of a difference than the possible 0.2 seconds max difference between them on paper.

I had the last model E63 Estate with the engine upgrade from 542 to 575 bhp (S).
Bad Side 2WD, lots of wheelspin. 7MCT Autobox was slow, sniffy to respond and clunky on real power runs.
Good side, GREAT 5.5L BiTurbo engine, better sound, better ride settings. Steering was more communicative.

The new one is coming with 4WD even in RHD. It is also going to the new generation 4L V8 BiTurbo. Sad as the 5.5 offered a lot of tuning capability.
I want it wrapped up in a G63 box.

Look forward to trying one.

Well as we know that Rs6 with 560 hp can do 0-100 in 3.3 it can maybe beat Mercedes in drag race

You would hope it would be better than the RS6, really - it's newer!

I prefer the look of the Audi regardless, and as someone has said, the E Class seems to be the taxi of choice which puts me off them a bit.

That's because most of contintal europe use them as taxis.
Doesn't help that the one in the video is the same colour as most taxis!

I agree. It's a little too subtle for me.
