Or the 888 was the anomaly.

Maybe.

This non performance RS6 ran 771nm (same dyno) when standard so that looks like the standard non overboost figure for this car. So if they under quote the standard figure by about 70nm then it seems feasible that the overboost feature is also under quoted (in my case is it about 100nm more than a standard RS6s actual figure).

You'd need a bigger sample. On the face of it the 888 looks iffy.

The trouble is trying to make it overboost. But clearly 770-780 is the normal non overboost figure for all C7s so when overboosting it is safe to assume it will be at least 50nm more than this so will be at least 820-830. 888 doesn't sound too iffy to me given much higher the standard figures are over the quoted numbers.

Any remap will void any engine/transmission warranty claim.

Having said that, all the top tuners work safely without pushing engines to their limits. The likes of MRC, Shark Performance can also flash back to stock if necessary.

I know this is a daft question but hey I'm going to ask...For those that mapped during standard warranty, did you buy an Extended warranty when the standard warranty run out? Given it's just an insurance policy, I assume you could declare the remap and still buy an extended warranty after?

No, factory warranty/extension will entail keeping the car factory spec. They can't warrant something they didn't supply. You can roll the dice of course.
