MRC in BANBURY really is a no-brainer given your location, would be a sub-one hour trip from where you are surely? - http://www.mrctuning.com/

Call them and if/when you manage to get through to them, you will most likely get to speak to Ben. Tell him the majority of the RS246 forum sent you.

What are the disadvantages of coilovers?

I ask this on the basis that the car wasn't designed with coilovers. Is residual price effected by whether the car has coilovers or DRC?

Anybody recommend any specialists in Scotland or North England that can repair the DRC system?

I'm sure people will say what they have is the best, im a boring type who prefers oem and believe that if you get the original working it would be preffereable for future value but that is just my humble opinion.

Being a proper Southerner, I regard anything above Watford as the North ;) but the only one I really hear repeated (for good reason) is Unit20. May be a trek for you but do it once, do it right?

Regarding values staying OE etc, cant comment on that, but, to my knowledge it is reputed that the DRC system on the B7 has various revisions to it over the likes of the big C5 RS6. Saying that though, i am pretty sure mine has gone through all her shocks once now, she has just hit 90k.

Personally I really like the DRC on the 4 and wouldnt swap it by choice. I have the coilovers on the 6 through necessity.

Like Purso, I'd prefer to keep my car standard, but not at any cost!

Are there any reasons not to go with Coilovers?
