It had and still has a lot of small little issues that need addressing. When I got it, basically every fluid was low. Some dangerously low. Foglights didn't work (new relay needed). Passenger side headlight was replaced with a halogen one (new pair sorted that out). The timing belt was due a service, not something I felt comfortable doing myself at the time, so I handed it over to a garage thats known to be good when it comes to these cars and they did a cracking job. They did find that aux coolant pump was leaking, so that was done too. The aircon needed a regas. Cabin filter was one of those fancy invisible high-flow ones

As for problems that still need sorting out, an EGT sensor is throwing codes, so I've got a pair on the way from SID Motorsport. The headlight auto leveling doesn't work. Sometimes the headlights point to the moon. I must pick up some new sensors and a leveling module off a mate and hope that those will do the trick. The LCD in the cluster is dead. Sometimes it cuts in and then out again. Apparently that is a problem with PFL clocks (its a partial facelift car). I still haven't fully decided how to go about fixing this yet. Other than that, its mostly just things like replacing the discs and pads on the rear, fixing whatever is wrong with the radio wiring and a few cosmetic paint issues.
I haven't done much in the way of mods yet. I put the B6 S4 alloys off my A4 onto it (I bought another set for it but didn't get around to refurbing them yet). I put a double din in and a wiring loom for heated seats. I've got some Hi-tech Recaros bought for it. I put a B7 RS4 gear knob into it and thats about it so far. I'll be upgrading the rear brakes to 300mm discs with the stock caliper soon and I plan to put some 18Zs on the front, since I haven't been too happy with the braking overall. Coilovers after the brakes and I haven't any concrete plans from then on other than looking after it.
Problems aside, I love the car. It was a bargain and its a keeper for me. There aren't many here in Ireland so I feel lucky to have one. Its also an Irish car from new, which isn't too common. Definitely the only imola yellow Irish S4 B5. Not a huge deal, but its great that the dealers can look up more info about it than they would if it was a UK import. I didn't originally plan on getting a yellow S4, I would have been happy with any colour. I wanted yellow, but I didn't think I'd ever find one so I just gave up on the idea and decided on Noggy blue. As luck would have it, just as I was planning on flying to the UK to look at a niggy one, this one came up for sale just days before. I had seen it in photos on a forum months before and said to myself "would that be nice", thinking I'd never get one, let alone this one!
As for my B6, its a 1.9tdi Quattro that I use as my daily. Its got a few S/RS bits in/on it. (S4 recaros and rear B6 bumper, S4 headlights, S4 alloys (not currently, but will have them again soon) RS4 B7 gear knob).
Thats about it. I look forword to nosing around the classifieds for parts for my cars and having a poke in the B5 section for info.
