Why is it that when you take out the plug on the MAF while the engine is stopped and off,key anywhere near the ignition, and then you just replace it,the engine gets a rough time screwing up the mixture with the fuel and air?
i did that in the process of trying to figure out my idle problem, and in the car could not speed, had lost all throttle and was driving like a 150hp car.
When i took the battery offline to eliminate all ECU errors, the next morning the car was running fine.
Funny thing is that the idle kind of corrected itself with the unplugging and replugging the MAF and now it has come up doing its thing again..!!

RE: Begginers question MAF...
The Maf connectors could be corroded, clean with contact cleaner and also clean the MAF with IPA. Do a serch on S2 forum http://www.s2forum.com/forum/ for all MAF and Idling problems. You may need to clean the ISV as well.
