Yes. there was another thread on here last year where a few of us agreed that using the Sports Exhaust in Dynamic dented fuel economy.

TBH, the Sports Exhaust has been a bit of a disappointment for me. I found myself sitting in the back of my car the other day when it was being driven with a bit of vim and it sounded great! But up in the front, with the double glazing, it's amazing how much less you hear the exhaust. Living here in the South East, the roads are so crowded that I rarely see the rev counter go above 2000rpm, anyway. Also, if I have set the exhaust to Dynamic, I find myself feeling the need to turn it off as I approach home (we live in a sleepy little village) so I have just about reached the point where it stays permanently in Comfort mode.

I run my exhaust in dynamic 100% of the time and its definitely quiet round town and on partial throttle, so flaps are closed. Now the flaps are unplugged you can hear the exhaust all the time.

The only change I made was to force the flaps to be open 100% of the time. Not sure what dynamic and comfort setting actually does? I suspect its more then just opening the exhaust valves alone or in fact does it actually do anything if the engine is in comfort mode?

If you run the engine in dynamic it will definitely eat more fuel

Comfort still opens the flaps, but further up the revs and on a more open throttle. I have mine in dynamic all the time, and average mid-12s mpg, so must be killing the economy if you can get above 20 mpg in comfort exhaust mode.

50 mile run tonight burst my bubble lol

I usually get around 22 on this particular run, only 20.9 tonight. Oh well you f nothing else it sounds good all the time now :thumb:

I have the exhaust set to dynamic in the individual mode but have found when starting up the car after it has done its initial start up the exhaust flaps default back to the comfort mode. but if i flick to comfort on the mmi then back to individual there is a noticeable change in the tone and the flaps are then fully open for the rest of the drive.

I was thinking of unplugging the flaps but at the minute my quick fix of flicking to comfort then back to individual seems to be doing the trick.

Yes the RS3 does this too. It will start noisy but then go quiet straight away until you cycle through the modes or stick the gearbox into sport.

Ok done loads of miles, result is more or less zero improvement in mpg . Maybe slightly better around town but nothing of note, sounds good though

So to disconnect valves you just remove that clap with whole cables Image ?

P.s there are no any side affects to a car itself for example like power loss or something else?

Power loss? It's just a flap in a tailpipe. All it does it change the noise.
However, it does flag an alarm. It doesn't show on the dash or MMI but if you plug a laptop in it will show the error. But if you are happy with the sound then you can buy the Milltek valve delete modules that cancel the error.

Ok that error actually makes nothing only if you go to Audi dealer then they can see the error, in other word I can actually drive with error without any problems right :roll:

*Why didn't it came with an exhaust button (like R8)
Still searching for a way to install my R8 GT steeringwheel in the 6 (some are working on it)
