RS6 versus RS6 Performance.

Post by Smarttech » Sun Nov 06, 2016 1:00 pm

Sorry if this has been asked before but apart from a bit more power 21"wheels and sports exhaust what is the difference between the 2 models ? On a standard car the bigger wheels and sports exhaust will cost me £3k to add and 560ps is enough for me but I have heard people say your better off going for the performance model by the time you put a few extras on the car.

Reason for asking is I'm trying to work out what spec works out best before I go to the dealer to haggle the best deal out.

Also get a styling pack ie titanium trim or black trim worth about £800 from memory or the carbon pack is about £800 less with the performance model.
Also privacy glass is standard which is a few quid too.
I can't remember the total difference but if you are going for a styling pack, sports exhaust, 21 inch wheels, privacy glass then the difference between the 2 is not a lot at all. And possibly worth more when it comes to sell.

If you can stretch to it I would go PE. Not that the car needs any more power - at least not for me - but I suspect you will always get the difference back come resale.
