You need to have the hardware already in place on the dash, the iphone adapter then sits on that.

I'm thinking for my son who has a cradle of some sort in his B7 S4, not sure it's the right one though. What am I looking for?
He won't be around here until Saturday for me to check his installation though. I know he has an RNS-E but not if it's bluetooth-capable.
