Alternatives To Front Number Plate Surround

So....finally got around to ordering smaller front plate with obligatory statement underneath......

Before I get out the dremmel; have seen a few, the merlin+ R6 JWW, as an example with no number plate surround

Any clue how the plate is stuck on? can't be double sided Velcro...can it? Would save me cutting the surround in half...

Buy some double sided adhesive tape - 2" wide.

Yes mine is held on with velcro allowing me to easily take it on and off for shows.

Any issues with it when its given a bath? Costco do some great 3M double sided Velcro but for hanging pictures - might try with that in addition to trying the double sided tape.

No trouble. It states on the packet can be used outside. And had no issues with very high speeds.

Nah. I always giggle every time I drive at speed. Thinking I wonder if I'll get pulled for furious driving as Mr Fish did. Pmsl.

Voila - gave up with the double sided tape - didn't want to cut down the middle and glue it back together again - so chopped off the edges to fit!! 2mins!! Just need a new one when it comes re-sale time. I know, I know about the Quattro badge - wasn't spending a grand on a new grille!!
