Motorway is always going to be stronger....... I paid 97.1 at the Shell station near Castle Combe the other day, but had a head fit when filling up old quattro, 1.21 a ltr for full fat 4 star, and the tank holds 90 litres

Just filled up my tank with Shell 98 RON here in Belgium yesterday, 58 liters and 82 Euros... Ouch!!!!!! 1.38 euros/liter, roughly £1/liter, and this isn't motorway prices either...

Worst of it is that I'm afraid it's not 98 RON or at least not as good as the 98 RON Total sells here as Excellium, as I'm getting 4 to 6 degrees knock <beep>/cyliner on it where I was getting <1 degree <beep> on Excellium 98 RON...

Oh well, rant mode off...

JR,

I filled up recently and was shocked to see that it has risen to 93.9p. This is in Reading. There is no reasonable argument for charging 6p more up your way. It's supposed to be more expensive down here!!!

Recently started using BP Ultimate on my s4, its been returning me at least 20-30 more miles on a full tank than Optimax does.
I think the Optimax in my area is crap quality, i'm off it for good now.
I paid 99.9p for BP Ultimate in Wimbledon this morning, its 97.9 at the Hampton Court BP which i think i will have to use from now on.
I hit 300miles on a full tank of Ultimate yesterday (town driving only). Im lucky to get 270 from Optimax in my area.
