Rock Autos Dual Mass Fly Wheel.

Post by DavidRS4 » Wed Aug 31, 2016 10:29 pm

Going to order the Dual Mass Flywhhel from Rock Autos in the States. Can anyone who has bought one confirm that the part number is indeed: LUK DMF077?

Many thanks.

Just purchased this myself and can confirm that it is the correct part #. Also just be aware that there is an additional import duty of £99 payable before parcelforce will deliver making the DMF total £470 ish depending on the current exchange rate.
Hope this helps.

That's the right one on Rockauto but make sure you select the RS4 to make sure you get the right one. There are a bunch of variations on DMF077 for different cars.

I found out when I tried to source the LUK part through European distributors of the brand. They could get a different 077 but not the one I needed. I guess that when Audi contracted them to supply this part for them there was a clause that forbids them from selling it in Europe. Typical.

In the end I went with a UK made single mass billet flywheel which directly replaces the DMF and fits the stock clutch. Less money too.

Thanks for the replies gents.

How do you get on with the single mass fly wheel?

Yes. That should be the right one. thats what I had installed in my RS4 about a year ago - no issues. I did their clutch kit (LUK 02050 [Clutch Kit] LuK RepSet®; Standard Replacement) and flywheel (LUK DMF077 [Flywheel] Dual Mass Flywheel) together. Looks like the price is even lower right now. I paid $423 for the flywheel and $137 for the clutch kit at the time.
