It does sounds like the PCV valve has failed, it's located under the RS engine cover.
I had the same thing, there was a tiny hole in the pipe, had to get a new one from Audi and solved the issue.

Sorry to hear you have this problem, it's a right bastard. I had this on RS4 No1 with a Gruppe M. I tried absolutely everything. Audi even took the manifold off examined every single thing that could cause it and MRC had a look and no one, I mean no one could solve it. So I part ex'd it, bought a C63, nearly died, sold it and got back into another RS4 B7, no Gruppe M. Now Happy.

I have now booked it in with Turner Race Developments to see if they can sort it... Should have more info at the end of the week.

TRD did some road testing today with the computer plugged in, and it seems that all the live values of the air mass were correct... They did some various other tests and all seemed fine too.. Did you have any mods done to your one when it developed this issue ?

I had a stage 2 MRC with remap. Same as I have now, with no issues.
Doug really had a good dig around and could not solve it, same as Cov Audi, both know their sh1t.

Perhaps time to revert back to the atandard air box then..

Have you tried changing the PCV valve yet? They tend to fail and have the idling problems like yours. My dealer couldn't find the problem until I point them to the PCV valve.

Tried the standard air box today and no different... I have heard that the pcv valve should 't make any difference to the running, as it can be vented to air and will still run fine...

If the PCV valve is faulty or a leak on one of the pipes, it can cause idling problems.
