Puddle lights installed
2 minute job and I think they look great. A bit of fun.

Re: Puddle lights installed
You get these off trups?
Re: Puddle lights installed
Aliexpress
Re: Puddle lights installed
I also got some for the front and rear, I got mine off fleabay!
Re: Puddle lights installed
I ordered a set before I got the car but when I popped the first one out of the door the wire was so short I didn't want to unplug it and risk losing the wire in the door. So I put one in tailgate and turned it around so it shines the logo on the boot floor when the boot is open. If the boot is fully open then it is hard to see and a bit big though. Half way up it works quite well. It was worth a try though!

Hi Giles, have you got the link to the page handy? I fancy a set of those. Cheers
Re: Puddle lights installed
Have to say I like the look of that. Is that a picture of your car or the advertising picture?
Re: Puddle lights installed
I got mine from either here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-CREE-UNDE ... WF0qLbimqw
or here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-Under-Do ... cG1I_dEJpA
Can't remember which, but they are probably the same thing.

Any trick to getting the rear door light out? Fronts came out easily....kavbhamra wrote:I also got some for the front and rear, I got mine off fleabay!

The wire is short but doesn't retract so you cannot lose the wire or end.MikeFish wrote:I ordered a set before I got the car but when I popped the first one out of the door the wire was so short I didn't want to unplug it and risk losing the wire in the door. Ordered 2x sets from Aliexpress & delivered from China in 5 days. Best £15 ever spent

Any trick to getting the rear door lights out? The fronts just popped out easily but the rears are a little different and have no obvious side that needs to come out first, if that makes sense.
Re: Puddle lights installed
I've ordered a set for my S8 (S8 logo obviously which only a few AliExpress suppliers do), about a week ago.
On their way, left China by air mail (Guangzhou airport) yesterday. £11 for a set of four.
Front doors are fine but the rears have a space/clearance issue due to the door pockets; at that price it's worth seeing if can be made to fit.
As for removal, there's usually a tiny notch at one end where you lever them out with a small flat-blade screwdriver. Look really closely.
