TV function on the blink

As the title says my TV function has suddenly gone tits up! Will only go to radio and display radio stations when I press TV tuner. Any ideas? Is there a way of rebooting this or is this a garage job (not sure if this comes under warranty as well?).? Cheers

You can reset the MMi, cant remember which buttons... try that, just google mmi 2g or 3g reset and it'll link you to a video.

Ok reset done and no change! Any other suggestions? I don't use the TV much to be honest but it is handy at times.

Would that be relevant for the reversing camera too? Or does a non communicative parking module mean just that and this needs replacing?

The TV and parking camera modules are different bits of kit, but use the same cable that runs from the control unit in the boot to the head unit at the front. The cable is actually only an RCA (like the yellow ones on a 90s scart), so if neither is working then likely something has gone wrong with that cable.

LukasPukas - I don't have the TV function on my car, have you ever experienced this problem with the parking module, the error I a getting via vagcom is parking module unresponsive, have you or do you know anyone who has actually upgraded this cable - obviously if that's possible?

The video cable runs along the passenger side of the car along the bottom of the doors (along with a cable that attaches all the units in the boot to the stuff in the front). I haven't had any issues with my video feed, but when I had my car upgraded from 2G to 3G by some specialists they showed me how it all worked. However, I am not sure a fault in the cable would lead to the parking module showing as unresposive, given it is just a video feed, I don't think the car would identify any issue (there is no feedback), it just wouldn't show no image. The parking module is on the lefthand side, it might be worth unplugging it and plugging it back in again as a first step.

yep I have the reversing camera which now no longer shows in the head-unit.

Could be that video input cable... i've never had any issues with mine, i know the rear section on the RS6 where all the amps/cables are is prone to water ingress though.

Guess I'll have to get it checked out-anyone recommend anyone in Herts as am sure Audi Hitchin will charge a fortune (and if it comes under warranty I am on £250 excess to start with).
