The whole day was good but chasing down Brian in the pouring rain at the Scotsburgring with the ESP off was probably the best drive I have ever had.

Think I learned as much about myself as I did the car.

My oil light also came on just as I got home but luckily my undertray was still in one piece, must have been a nightmare after a long day out.

Brooner- You will have to fight me for the wooden spoon/tail end Charlie position, I quite like going at my own pace ;-)
Was a pleasure just to see your reaction when we stopped after our wee Scotsburgring run :greyrs4: :redrs4: only thing better would be squeezing in a wee bit of mountain biking at Fort William too

Special K C5 wrote:Just the noise that is lacking in the type r!between you and Brian me wanting a V8 again increased massively and it was already substantial. Was really good to see the B8s up close and personal as that was 1st proper look I have had at them.

I hadn't realised you had sport contact 5s I have the sport contact 6 which come standard in the type r and all I hear from everyone on the civic forum is how poor they are in the wet and think we can all agree that's utter nonsense!

Did you have a couple of cameras hooked up inside the car?

Keiran the v8 force is strong, the type r sounds awesome though when you are following it and it seriously shifts

Never heard the type r part from inside the car from driving perspective. Should have got one of you guys to blast past me in it so I could hear it!

I was surprised how well the big old rs6 done against the new modern rs4, was great on the flat fast slight bend roads up to glenhee and just after. Was also great on the scotburgring but felt I could not push on the hilly bits of the routs we did the small route after the accident in glencoe was an epic blast also. Shame I never got to be behind fiasels car but brians car from about 10 cars behind with my windows up sounded fearce. Im back up to avimore this week to see family will defiant take the Glenshee route.

It's better but not right yet, so going back in Thursday.

Faisal, that's some tough luck with the undertray buddy. Wish you called me, as I had a multi tool in the car and might have been able to undo it or cut it off. At least you got back in one piece. That's a hell of a drive to do in one go.

Well I'm on Day 2 and just having breakfast in the Rhug farm shop and then heading for the Evo Triangle for some fine North Wales roads.
Haha done in style Sam! Rhug Is a great start to the day, hope you had fun at Evo. Great roads for the return leg.

That's a great video. 8) I drove those roads in my 987 Cayman S a couple of years ago. Loved every minute of it. :)

Thanks again for organising and the help on the way home! The long drive home was definitely worth it!

Love a bit of Donnell Jones. 8)

Watching it back actually makes me want to sign up to the yorkshire trip....my brownie point balance says otherwise haha.

Hey mate - are you trying to view it tapatalk by any chance? If so, the trick is to press the 3 dots in the top right corner of the screen, switch to web-view, and then it should work.
